Apple slashes price of popular product to £80.60 in wake of iPhone 15 announcement


Apple has slashed the price of one of its popular Airpods to under $100 just days after dropping the new iPhone 15.

The long-awaited iPhone 15 announcement earlier this week has come with more unexpected goodies.

To go along with the improved sound quality and voice isolation feature on the new iPhone model, Apple has kindly slashed the price of its Apple AirPods 2nd Generation to just $99.99 (£80) on Amazon.

That’s a staggering 23 percent saving on its original listing cost.

But don’t panic if you choose not to snap up Apple’s latest iPhone as the Airpods work with all smart devices.

The product comes with an impressive battery life of 24 hours and top-quality audio.

They can also pair with your device as soon as they are taken out of their charging case. The Airpods will also play as soon as you whack them in your ears.

The music-listening devices also pause by sensing when you take the AirPods out of your ears.

The iPhone 15 is now available to pre-order starting at $799 (£644).

It has the same 6.1-inch display and video capacity as the iPhone 14 and a similar battery life and screen size.

One of the highly anticipated features of the new iPhone 15 was ‘name drop’ – a feature in which users can share contacts by simply bringing two iPhone devices together.

The big difference that has got fans talking about the latest model is the new, widely anticipated USB-C charging port.

Apple has already begun selling a USB-C adapter on its website for $29 (£23), which is required for new iPhone 15 users to connect their Lightning charging cables for current iPhones to their new ones.

Some fans have nonetheless been left disappointed by Apple’s latest offering, with one writing on X: “iPhone 15 just looks like the iPhone 14. Apple’s innovation died with Steve Jobs.”
