Apple launches swanky new office in Bengaluru, underlines India commitment

Apple has opened its latest India office in Bengaluru, underlining its deepening commitment to the world’s second-largest smartphone market amid its divergence outside of China.

The plush new Apple office will house up to 1,200 employees, comprises 15 floors and feature dedicated lab space, areas for collaboration and wellness and Caffe Macs.

“Apple is thrilled to expand in India with our new office in the heart of Bengaluru…this dynamic city is already home to so many of our talented teams, including software engineering and hardware technologies, operations, customer support, and more. Like everything we do at Apple, this workspace is created to foster innovation, creativity, and connection. It’s an amazing space for our teams to collaborate,” a company spokesperson said Wednesday.

This is the latest addition to Apple’s corporate office footprint across Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Gurugram, and represents an important milestone in the US tech giant’s more than 25 year history in India.

Apple’s teams in Bengaluru already work across a range of businesses, from software, hardware, services, IS&T, operations, customer support, and others. The US company has nearly 3,000 employees in India.

Apple’s work with Indian suppliers of all sizes supports hundreds of thousands of jobs across the country. It also works with partners across India that are advancing critical work to protect the environment and expand access to education and employment.
