AH Wadia Trust sells 5.7-acre land parcel in Mumbai’s Andheri for Rs 71 crores

AH Wadia Trust, a charitable trust that counts Jehangir Adi Wadia as one of its trustees, has sold a nearly 5.7-acre land parcel in Mumbai’s western suburb of Andheri to a privately-held company Global Eco Hotels for nearly Rs 71 crores.

The buyer has paid stamp duty worth Rs 10.70 crore for the registration of the deal that took place on February 2, showed documents accessed through CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm.

The trust had started the efforts to sell the land parcel in 2009 too and had invited bids for the same. In 2010, Global Eco Hotels had emerged as the highest bidder with its offer of Rs 51 crore for the plot.

The process to sell the land parcel has been going on since then and has finally been concluded now.

ET’s email query to Global Eco Hotels remained unanswered until the time of going to press. AH Wadia Trust could not be reached for a comment.

The entire consideration of nearly Rs 71 crores includes the bid amount of Rs 51 crore and an additional compensation of over Rs 19.96 crores.
