The transaction is expected to close within 45 days, subject to customary conditions.
The move is part of Absolute Sports’ efforts to strengthen its position in the combat sports media segment, particularly in the US. The company said the acquisition would also enhance opportunities for fan engagement and digital advertising.
TJRWrestling and ITRWrestling, launched in 2009 and 2020, respectively, have built dedicated communities focused on pro-wrestling content. Combined, they draw 1.7 million monthly active users and generate 4.6 million monthly pageviews, primarily from North America. The two sites reported $722,000 in revenue in 2024, according to a company statement.
