30-km-long Dwarka expressway near completion in Delhi, says Nitin Gadkari


Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari attended a program in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh where he talked about the traffic congestion in New Delhi and how Government has undertaken steps to address it. While speaking to media, he said, “The traffic congestion in Delhi is a significant problem and the Government has taken various steps to tackle it. Projects worth 65,000 crore have been undertaken to curb the traffic by deviating it to new routes and finding other alternatives of commuting.” He also informed that the ongoing construction of the 30-km-long Dwarka expressway costing Rs 10,000 crores is in its final stage as 80 per-cent work has been done. The expressway will act as an alternative to migrate traffic and reduce congestion in the national capital.
