The Forza Horizon video game series is one of the most popular in the world right now. The latest game in the franchise, Forza Horizon 5, dropped in November 2021, and ever since, it has enjoyed massive success. This is thanks to the game’s extensive car roster, which includes the best and latest sports cars and supercars in the world. Pair that with the game’s breathtaking visual effects and gorgeous locations through Mexico, and you have a stellar experience in your hand.
Furthermore, the developers of Forza Horizon 5 have constantly kept the game’s huge player base active through regular content drops and expansions. The first expansion pack for Forza Horizon 5 was the Hot Wheels DLC, which was as enjoyable as it was successful. Now, players are hyped for the game’s second expansion pack, the Rally Adventure DLC pack, which will drop on March 29, 2023. Not only will the Rally Adventure DLC pack introduce new game modes and environments, it will also add ten new cars to Forza Horizon 5, which players will be able to take dirt-racing. Here are the 10 new rally-themed cars that gamers and gearheads will get to enjoy in the upcoming Rally Adventure DLC for Forza Horizon 5.
10 2021 Alumicraft #122 Class 1 Buggy
The 2021 Alumicraft Class 1 Buggy will be a debutant in the Forza franchise, come March 29. Being an off-road focused, Rally-inspired DLC, the Rally Adventure pack introduces this buggy which boasts 22 and 23 inches of travel in the front and rear respectively.
Forza developers have fitted the Chevy LS3 engine into this Alumicraft chassis, accounting for 500 horsepower in this RWD buggy.
9 2021 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR Pro 4 Truck
The RJ Anderson Polaris RZR Pro isn’t actually a Trophy Truck, and Forza clarifies that the Pro Truck leads its own off-roading class. Boasting superb handling thanks to being smaller and lighter, the RJ Anderson Polaris RZR Pro truck would be the perfect truck for navigating the dunes and bumps at high speeds.
The Pro Truck doesn’t have as much travel as a trophy truck, sure, but that helps it keep its wheels firmly on the ground, making for more controlled and steadfast handling. Specifically built for short course closed-circuit racing, the AWD RJ Anderson Polaris truck will boast a whopping 850 horsepower.
8 2019 Casey Currie Motorsports #4402 Ultra 4 ‘Trophy Jeep’
The Trophy Jeep is the chassis of a buggy combined with a custom LS-based Crate engine. An off-roader with 850 horsepower and 19 inches of spring travel, the Casey Currie Motorsports Ultra Trophy Jeep is going to be a beast to reckon with in Forza Horizon 5.
Cody Currie drove the Trophy Jeep in the Baja 1000, utilizing the ultra-compact steering system of the truck. The Trophy Truck boasts an independent suspension both at the front and rear axle, and this will certainly be a go-to vehicle for players during the rally raids in the new map of Sierra Nueva.
7 2019 Jimco #240 Fastball Racing Spec Trophy Truck
Back in 2019, Bobby Patton, the owner of the LA Dodgers, teamed up with Jimco Racing, since he’s super into off-road racing, and the result was this badass Trophy Truck. Of course, it’s all decked out in Dodger Blue.
A Danzio Performance LS3 motor powers the Jimco Fastball Racing Spec Trophy Truck, and a Gearworks Turbo 400, so it can handle anything you throw at it. Plus, it’s got a custom Ford Raptor body and 40-inch tires that allow 26 and 32 inches of travel at the front and rear, respectively.
6 2020 Jimco #179 Hammerhead Class 1
The Jimco Hammerhead Class 1, another Forza debutant vehicle, blends the modern-day trophy truck with a Class 1 racecar’s chassis. No off-road trail could possibly be too much for this truck, and of course, there’s also Jimco’s decorated off-road championship reputation.
Players will find upgraded electronics on the Hammerhead, along with 850 horsepower ready to race. For those that enjoy the cockpit view in Forza Horizon 5, there are also new carbon-fiber race seats for the perfect cabin experience while you race down your friends and competitors through the muddy trails of Sierra Nueva.
5 2021 Polaris RZR Pro XP Factory Racing Limited Edition
Followers of the 5000-mile Dakar will recognize the Polaris RXR Pro XP buggy, as it proved successful at the Baja 1000, Baja 500, and the UTV World Championships. We expect to see this highly-adaptable buggy ease its way through the most obstacle-ridden tracks in Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure.
In fact, Jimco Racing themselves provided the custom chassis and the wheelbase for the Polaris RZR Pro, along with the custom suspension on this limited-edition buggy. Come 29 March, we know exactly which vehicle we’re rushing to unlock.
4 2022 Alumicraft #6165 Trick Truck
Alumicraft build their truck to order, fitting custom engines fine-tuned to the orders of racing teams, all on their one single truck chassis. The different specs and needs vary, and so does the power output of the Alumicraft Trick Truck, but in Forza Horizon 5, it will ride on 525 horsepower.
There’s plenty of travel up front and at the back, with 24-inches of front travel and 30-inches at the back. The 2022 Alumicraft #6165 Trick Truck is undoubtedly going to look fantastic as it races through not just the dusty roads of Sierra Nueva, but Mexico as well.
3 1973 Hoonigan Volkswagen Baja Beetle Class 5/1600 ‘Scumbug’
Back in 2017, the Hoonigan crew bought a 1973 VW Beetle, which was the cheapest Baja buggy they could get their hands on. They then overhauled and re-fitted it to make it capable of following the Baja 1000.
The Scumbug can take on the toughest terrains, and its distinguishable orange glossy paint makes it one of the most unique project vehicles ever to come from the Hoonigan garage.
2 2001 Ford #4 Ford Focus RS
Legendary rally racer Colin McRae drove this Ford Focus RS, and Forza Horizon 5: Rally Adventure pays tribute to the man through the inclusion of this car. Ford and McRae joined up in 1999, going on to achieve nine rally victories and 16 podium finished together, all brought home by the Focus RS.
There’s a special history to this 2001 spec #4 Ford Focus RS, as it was retired after a devastating crash McRae went through, and restored after his demise in 2007. The Focus RS boasts 300 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, going from 0 to 60mph in 4.2 seconds. Rally fans would love nothing more than to ride the same car that the legendary Colin McRae did.
1 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum
Here’s an all-electric off-roader that Forza fans are going to love. The F-150 Lightning is the hottest thing in the pickup segment, and the all-wheel drive truck is going to help you conquer the new muddy town of Sierra Nueva with style.
580 horses command the F-150 Lightning Platinum, along with 775 lb-ft of torque. This is the first time the new F-150 truck will be in Forza, and naturally, it is spearheading the entire Rally Adventure DLC pack for the game.
