1 Easton worker made more than $300K. Here are the town's top 10 … – Enterprise News

EASTON — The last time The Enterprise crunched the numbers for the top 10 highest paid Easton town employees, only one made more than $200,000 — Police Lt. Keith Nunes, coming in at $213,168 in 2020.

Now, two years later, we’re taking a look at the 2022 top 10, and five workers cracked $200,000 — including one who cracked $300,000.

Eight of Easton’s highest earners for calendar year 2022 are the same as in our 2020 review.

Rocketing to the top was Timothy Griffin, a firefighter/paramedic who was the only town employee to earn more than $300,000. Griffin amassed $307,645 via what the town terms “other earnings” of $289,103. His regular salary was $18,543.

The “other earnings” category includes details, where a person directs traffic at construction sites and in other situations. “Other earnings” also includes vacation time buyback, longevity bonuses, stipends and other pots of money, according to a list provided by Town Treasurer/Collector Linda J. Hawkes. The town was not able to run a report breaking out each type of “other earnings,” she said.

Also in the top 10 were names you’d expect, like Superintendent of Schools Lisha Cabral, Police Chief Keith Boone and Fire Chief Justin Alexander. Police Lt. Keith Nunes stayed in the top 10 thanks to strong overtime earnings of $111,799 while the former police chief, Gary Sullivan, made the list via “other earnings” of $123,677. Here’s the list:
